LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man who Lexington police say robbed his place of employment by breaking in, hacking a safe, and stealing thousands of dollars.
Investigators believe Matthew Spurling used his familiarity with his job at Baker Iron and Metal to break in,
Police said early Sunday morning, they caught Spurling at Baker Iron and Metal after he broke in a window and stole $15,000 from the safe inside.
A police report said Spurling' girlfriend had been recently fired from the place, and they both knew the safe combination.
Spurling will be arraigned Monday on a charge of third degree burglary.
