The Salvation Army has set a new record, thanks to some generous people across the country.
The organization says its Red Kettle Campaign raised more than $147 million nationally over the holidays, setting a new fundraising record.
So how successful was the campaign in Lexington? We checked with Salvation Army officials here. They tell 27 Newsfirst their Red Kettle Campaign raised around $457,000, $7,000 more than their goal.
