Scattered storms will develop into the afternoon hours and a few could be strong or severe. High winds and hail will be the main impacts.
WKYT has been receiving reports of power outages around central Kentucky Thursday night.
Dispatchers in Berea said Berea Municipal Utility crews worked a power outage caused by a blown transformer.
However, police said power was restored to the area a short time later.
The Paris Fire Department also reported a blown transformer at the Bypass and Georgetown Road Thursday night.
Kentucky Utilities reports nearly 1,200 people in Paris lost power for about an hour, before it was restored.
Power outages were also reported in parts of Lexington. As of 1:20 a.m. Friday., around 9,000 Kentucky Utilities customers were without power in Lexington.
At one point, around 3,100 customers were without power in Clark County, but power has since been restored to most of them.
Most of the power outages in Lexington are in the Newtown Pike and Russell Cave Road areas.
