Restaurant raises money for worker badly injured in crash

Updated: Tue 7:13 PM, Nov 27, 2012

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - It's a chance to help a family spending their days and nights at the hospital with a loved one battling serious injuries.

Naomi Hetrick, 23, suffered serious injuries in a crash on Athens Boonesboro Road on Halloween.

Her family tells WKYT she's had six surgeries and is still in a coma.

Knowing how expensive her medical bills will be, Hetrick's boss at the Chick-Fil-A in Richmond Centre decided to help out.

Ten percent of Tuesday's sales will go to Hetrick and her family. Naomi's brother, Jedidiah, also works at the restaurant.

Hetrick's mother says it's just one example of the support they've received since the crash.

"Because of the friends that we have and because of our faith, that's what's helping us through each day." said Louetta Hetrick. "Just gonna take one step at a time."

The Richmond Chik-Fil-A is open until ten on Tuesday night.
