FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - Transportation Cabinet highway crews in northeastern Kentucky were out plowing snow and spot-treating roadways as light snow moved across the region on Thursday.

Crews in Bath, Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Fleming, Greenup, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas and Rowan counties were all out applying salt to roadways Thursday morning.

Crews will continue to treat affected areas until the winter storm threat subsides. Motorists should reduce speeds on wet or snow-covered roadways, give themselves plenty of time to reach their destinations and leave extra space between other vehicles.
