Robber punches clerk in face at Richmond drug store

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Richmond are asking for help identifying a man they say robbed a drug store.

Police say the man in the surveillance photo entered the CVS on East Main Street, reached over the counter and then hit a clerk in the face before grabbing money from the register and running from the store.

The clerk was not hurt. Police say the suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash.

The robber is described as a medium built white male, 6' tall, approximately 28-30 years old, with dark short hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans.

Richmond police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at (859) 623-1162.
