LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An alarming crime was reported near the University of Kentucky campus late Sunday, only days before students return to class for the fall semester.

A man told police he was robbed by two masked men who had a gun.

Lexington Police say the victim had just left his apartment at Newtown Crossing on Foreman Avenue and was walking over a railroad overpass when the men approached him.

The robbers got away with a wallet and cell phone.

So far, no one has been arrested.

UK's fall semester starts Wednesday.
