Robbery suspect arrested in Corbin, drugs seized

CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT) - Around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday Police spotted a wanted person inside of a car driving near Cumberland Falls Highway.

Justin Bell, 24, of Corbin was in the car and was wanted for an armed robbery. He also had two warrants for theft.

Corinna Jastle, 23, of Williamsburg, was driving the car and was previously told to avoid Bell and contact authorities if she saw him.

She was arrested and charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prescription controlled substance.

When Police searched the car they found hypodermic needles and an oxycodone pill inside a purse. Officials also found a .22 caliber pistol, scales and $925 in cash.

Police say when Bell was searched he had methamphetamine in one pocket and a hypodermic needle in the other.

Bell was arrested and faces charges of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking, theft by unlawful taking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both are lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
