LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Thanks to an alert driver Lexington Police say they were able to track down a robbery suspect Wednesday night.
Police say someone called them claiming the suspect was driving on Interstate 75.
Police say an undercover officer started following him and verified it was the man they had been looking for--Jonathan Arballo, 25.
Police say other officers started following him too and pulled him over at the Athens-Boonesboro exit.
They say Arballo was arrested without any trouble but they had a back-up plan, just in case.
"We were prepared for the possibility that he may try to flee from us. We had other units who were stationed in the area with spike strips in the event that he did try to flee, which he didn't," Lt. Eric Rowe of Lexington Police said.
Police say Arballo was wanted for a robbery in Lexington that happened last month.
