Rounds of rain moving in over the next few days

Posted: Wed 7:58 PM, Dec 05, 2012

We have a very active weather pattern ahead of us as we get closer to the weekend. The threat for a late day shower will be with us on Thursday as clouds slowly increase. Temps will be back into the 50s for highs. Rain will pick up Thursday night and Friday as a cold front stalls out across the region. Waves of low pressure will roll northeastward along the front and this will bring rounds of rain to Kentucky. Some thunder will also be possible. Much colder air swings in by Monday with temps dropping some 20-30 degrees in a few hours. Some wet snow may also be possible by the end of the day.
