LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - More showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Sunday.
We have a tropical air mass in place and that is causing these storms to pack a punch.
Torrential rain and a ton of lightning will accompany these storms. That could cause some local high water issues.
Monday looks very steamy with highs approaching 90 degrees. Scattered showers and storms will be around, again.
Storms may become stronger by late Tuesday as a cold front moves toward the region. That front looks to usher in much cooler weather as we get closer to the 4th of July.
