Same man may be behind two Frankfort robberies

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Frankfort Police are investigating the possibility that two gas station robberies are connected.

At 10:24 Tuesday night, police received a robbery report from the Speedy Mart, located at 146 Holmes Street. The victim, who was an employee, told officers the suspect entered the store, displayed a knife, and demanded cash. The robber then ran from the scene with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect was described as a tall, thin, white male.

At 3:35 Wednesday morning, police received a robbery report at Speedway, located at 387 Versailles Road. An employee told officers the robber entered the store, displayed a knife, and demanded cash. The ran off from the scene with cash. The suspect, in that case, was described as a white male, medium build, mid 20's. He was wearing a green & black hooded sweatshirt.

Frankfort Police are asking anyone who may information on this crime to call Detective Jeff Fogg at 502-875-8523. Information may be given anonymously by calling Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648 or on the web at
