General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
We are looking at a broken record forecast the next couple of days with chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms with warmer temperatures. Highs today will settle in the lower to mid 70s. With the heating of the day we can expect a few boomers this afternoon. Any outdoor plans will need to be done as early in the afternoon as possible. The best chance of rain today is along and east of I-75.
Thursday will be the best day with a slight chance of rain and highs around 80°. A front approaches the region on Friday, which will give us the best chance at showers and thunderstorms. This will be the day to watch as we will see strong storms and possibly a few severe storms. We will hold on to a chance of rain on Saturday as cooler conditions settle in Sunday and Monday. Highs for both of those days will be in the 50s with possible record breaking lows in the lower to mid 30s.
