A weak cold front drops in tonight and brings a few scattered showers and storms to the region. This doesn't look to be a widespread event, but locally heavy rains will be possible.
Thursday will find the front becoming stationary across the region. That means a storm or two will develop during the day. Highs will be back into the 80s.
The threat for scattered storms will be around Friday and Saturday with temps in the steamy mid and upper 80s.
Tropical moisture will increase by Sunday and that leads to a little more widespread shower and storm action. Locally heavy rainfall will be a good bet.
A few storms will likely linger into Labor Day.
