Our winter storm continues to dump heavy snow across central and eastern Kentucky. Look for our storm to taper off from northwest to southeast through the afternoon. One foot snow totals for several. Two foot snow totals for a few.
A scattering of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the region this evening as a weak cold front moves in. This action will increase later tonight into Saturday. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible and a few storms could be strong.
Highs on Saturday will climb into the middle 70s with some late day sunshine.
Mother's Day Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temps nearing 80 degrees. Isolated showers and storms will be possible.
Low and mid 80s will be common for Monday with a small threat for a shower or thunderstorm. Storm chances will increase on Tuesday as a strong cold front moves in. Much cooler air will move in behind that front for the rest of the week.
