CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Crews have expanded their search in the Daniel Boone National Forest for a missing eastern Kentucky man.

Friends and volunteers are looking for Earl Smith, 49. Smith went on an ATV ride in the Red Bird area of Leslie and Clay counties on Saturday morning and hasn't been seen since.

Search and rescue crews spent eight hours Saturday night into Sunday morning searching for Smith, but found no sign of him.

Rain is hampering their efforts right now. Emergency crews are asking for volunteers to help them with the search.

You can contact the Clay County Emergency Management office for more information.
