Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a missing person at Holly Bay at Laurel Lake. They say 32-year-old Clarence Holmes was driving his pontoon around the lake Thursday, before storms hit, to help others moor their houseboats.

Thursday night, around 9:00pm, Holmes boat was found off Marshes Branch, 13 miles west of London, near a small island on Laurel Lake. He was last seen around 3:00pm. Deputies say Holmes personal belongings were in the pontoon.

The Sheriff's Office says waves on the lake were reported to be 7 to 8 foot tall during Thursday's storm.

Rescue crews looked for Holmes until late Thursday night, but had to suspended the search due to darkness. They resumed the hunt for Holmes Friday morning.
