Second man charged in Lexington home invasion

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have charged a second suspect in connection to a violent home invasion on June 21. Lexington Police have identified the suspect as Eric Richardson, 24.

The home invasion happened at an apartment on State Street. Police say two people forced their way into an unlocked apartment. We're told they hit one of the victims in the head with a hammer. The other victim was also assaulted. Police say the suspects got away with a computer, gaming equipment and other items in black, plastic trash bags. Police later found the trash bags and some of the stolen items near a silver Dodge Charger at the dead end of Conn Terrace.

Police have already charged Derrick Quarles in the case. He faces two counts of robbery.
