Semi clips Anderson County school bus with kids on board

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A school bus and tractor trailer were involved in an accident on Tuesday morning. It happened on U.S. 127 in Anderson County, about a mile south of the Carlton Drive intersection.

The Anderson County Superintendent tells WKYT that the bus was stopped to pick up a child, when a semi came up from behind and was unable to stop. It tried to pass the bus on the right side, but ended up hitting it.

Two kids were on the bus at the time. They were checked out as a precaution, but were not hurt. The bus driver and monitor on board were not hurt either.

We're told the bus was stopped with its lights and stop sign activated when the accident happened.
