Updated: Tue 8:25 AM, Dec 18, 2012

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It was a close call for a couple of families after their vehicles were hit by a semi on the interstate.

It happened early Tuesday morning on I-75 northbound near the 105 mile marker.

Police say the truck driver swerved to miss a truck that cut him off and side-swiped two vehicles parked in the shoulder. The families were working to change a tire at the time.

Four people, including a young child, were taken to the hospital. Police say all of the injuries are minor, and the truck driver is not facing any charges.
