Settlement reached with e-book publishers

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - If you bought an e-book over the last few years you could be receiving some money.

The Kentucky Attorney General's Office says Kentucky is part of a $69 million national settlement reached with Hachette Book Group, Harper Collins, and Simon and Schuster.

Anyone who bought an e-book from one of these publishers between April 2010, and May 2012 is eligible for some of the settlement money

The attorney general's office says you'll receive an email with instructions.

The publishers agreed to the settlement after being accused of trying to fix the prices of e-books.
