Snow crashes into Kentucky

Snow will continue to increase during the overnight hours tonight. Some of the bands still look like they could produce several inches in a short amount of time. The mains action still hasn't arrived for our area. The heaviest bands are still west of our area.

Here'e the updated breakdown:

-The heaviest bands are still west of our area. Those are the bands that could produce the heavy amounts in a short amount of time.

-Many roads are dangerous right now and they will only get worse during the overnight hours.

-The snow totals could reach up to 10" or higher in isolated areas. The range falls between 5" and 10" in central and northeastern Kentucky. Down south the totals will be much lower. Somewhere between 1" and 3" with a lot of those totals on the low end.

-This system will move out during the morning hours.

-Major concerns will be roads and power outage potential.
