LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Several people were forced from their home after an early morning fire in Lexington.
Fire crews responded to the scene on Addie Street, just off 5th Street around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Lexington fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
A woman who lives in the home tells WKYT that a fire official told her that the fire started in a crawl space area of the home.
That lady tells us she lives in the home with several other people and that everyone inside made it out safely.
Firefighters say the primary damage to the home is smoke and water related.
Officials say the American Red Cross is stepping in to help find a place for the occupants to stay.
