Severe storms threat for Wednesday

By  |

A tropical air mass remains in place across central and eastern Kentucky. This will lead to the potential for scattered storms going up through tonight. Temps overnight will be hard pressed to drop below the 70 degree mark.

Wednesday is the day to really keep a close eye on the skies. It is a First Alert Severe Weather Day due to the potential for strong and severe storms developing. Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes will be possible.

The greatest threat appears to be during the afternoon and evening hours as a strong cold front moves through.

Much cooler and drier air moves in behind this front for Thursday and Friday.

Another strong cold front brings storms back into the picture by Sunday.
