Scattered storms will develop into the afternoon hours and a few could be strong or severe. High winds and hail will be the main impacts.
The severe weather threat continues across all of Kentucky through the overnight. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue to lift to the northeast across the state. Some of these storms may become severe.
Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible. In addition to the severe potential. heavy rain may cause local high water issues. Some parts of the area have already picked up close to one inch of rain and a lot more is on the way.
There may be a break in the stormy action for part of the day Tuesday, but the threat isn't over. Another round of strong and severe storms will be possible during the afternoon and evening hours.
Much cooler air will settle in for the middle and end of the week.
