Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
WHITLEY CITY, Ky. (WKYT) - A body has been found near where a Whitley County man went missing.
We're told a body was found Thursday afternoon near the Saxton area, along a logging road. Foul play is not suspected.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a missing person's case.
They say around noon Thursday, William "Dan" Oaks, Sr., 62, was reported missing by his daughter. She says he was last seen at his home on Highway 25 South, near Williamsburg on the afternoon of January 2nd.
Oaks stands at 5'11" tall, and weighs around 181 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. We've attached a picture for reference.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Department says they're searching on the ground for Oaks. If anyone has any information, call 606-549-6017.
