Shooting involving sheriffs deputy

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Tonight, we're gathering details on a shooting involving a sheriffs deputy.

State Police say this afternoon a Nelson County Deputy went to a home on Monks Road, south of Bardstown, for a property dispute complaint.

When the deputy arrived, police say 61-year-old John Hagan came out on the porch and pointed a gun at him.

Police say the deputy shot Hagan then performed CPR on him until EMS arrived.

We're told Hagan is now in critical condition, at a Louisville Hospital.
