LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- There's new information in the case of a central Kentucky man, accused of shooting at a police officer, outside of a Walmart.

The Advocate-Messenger reports a Lincoln County judge said there was enough probable cause to send 71-year-old Jackie Murphy's case on to a grand jury.

He's charged with attempted murder.

We've been tracking this story since August. Police say Murphy was suspected of shoplifting from the Stanford Walmart.

When he was confronted, police say Murphy shot at them.

They returned fire, shooting Murphy four times.
