Shooting suspect was wanted for escape

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man charged in a shooting was reportedly already in trouble with the law.

WKYT has obtained court records that show Darryl Brown was wanted on an escape charge.

Brown was on an electronic monitoring system in Louisville when he disappeared back in July, according to the court documents.

Lexington police arrested Brown Friday for a shooting on Cambridge Drive.

Brown is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for an arraignment on an assault charge.
