Shots fired at home on Breathitt Avenue

LEXINGTON, KY -- Shots were fired at a home in Lexington this morning, according to police.

The residents of the home on Breathitt Avenue, near Georgetown Street, said that they heard five or six shots in front of their house, around 10:00 AM. They came out to see that the storm door's window had shattered and a bullet was embedded in the door.

Police said that they found four more marks in the house that indicated bullets had been fired.

The people who live in the home claimed that they had no idea who would have shot at the house, and had no knowledge of someone who might hold grudges against them.

No one was hurt by the shooting. Police did not arrest anyone, but said that any suspect would most likely be charged with wanton endangerment.
