Showers and thunderstorms will continue to rumble across central and eastern Kentucky this evening. The action is along and ahead of a strong cold front working in from the west. Locally heavy rains and gusty winds will be possible.

Much cooler air moves in later tonight with temps in the upper 30s and low 40s by morning. Wednesday looks breezy and cooler with temps in the upper 40s and low 50s for highs.

A very wet pattern is taking shape by the weekend as a front stalls out across the Ohio Valley. A change toward cold is lurking for the early part of next week.
