Showers return for the weekend

Posted: Sat 6:47 AM, Dec 15, 2012

Clouds will thicken up as scattered showers move in from the west. As a warm front passes the Commonwealth expect rain chances to increase. These showers will hang around off and on today with highs in the mid 50s. Sunday expect more unseasonably warm temperatures and periods of showers.

Another cold front makes a run at us Monday into Tuesday with rain to start and snow showers to end as cold air moves in. Temperatures will drop into the 20s Monday night and stay in the 30s on Tuesday.

We'll be watching for a potentially significant snow maker for the end of the week along with some frigid temperatures. We'll keep you updated as the forecast evolves.
