Signs of spring showing up this week

A weak system is rolling across the bluegrass state and bringing rounds of showers with it. A few area may even hear a rare rumble of thunder this evening.

Temps will spike well through the 40s this evening then come tumbling down by late tonight. Many areas will be in the upper 20s to start Tuesday.

The rest of the day looks great with readings around 50 with a partly sunny sky. Wednesday will see thermometers in the upper 40s to around 50 after a morning sprinkle.

A strong cold front rolls our way by Thursday with a line of showers and thunderstorms. Temps ahead of this will be in the 60s on a gusty southwesterly wind. Some of the storms by Thursday night may be strong or severe.

Much colder air moves in for the weekend as old man winter fights back.
