LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Numerous flights at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport were delayed Thursday afternoon after a small plane made an emergency landing and ended up stuck on the main runway.
Ten arrivals and departures were delayed, an airport spokesman told WKYT.
Crews had to tow the plane which was stopped on a runway with its nose down and tail up. Only the pilot was onboard at the time. He was not injured.
WKYT's Sean Moody, who is also a licensed pilot, says the plane was headed from Butler, Pennsylvania to Lexington when the pilot reported trouble.
The twin-engine Cessna 310 landed shortly before 4 p.m.
According to the website flightaware.com, the plane is registered to Fly First which is based in West Memphis, Arkansas.
