Smoke evacuates central Kentucky home

Winchester, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman says the smell of smoke woke her up just in time, after a fire at her central Kentucky home.

It happened early Friday morning on Muddy Creek Road in Clark County. A woman living inside says thick, heavy smoke made its way into her home, and she rushed to get everyone out of the house safely.

Firefighters say the fire was contained to the outside of the house and caused little damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
