Snow causes slick conditions on roadways

We checked with Kentucky dispatchers, who report road conditions in their areas:

(As of 8 a.m.)

Anderson County/Lawrenceburg: Roads are slick and hazardous in spots, but mostly clear. No reported accidents.

Bourbon County/Paris: Slick. Main Street Water main break, Main Street closed -- Still no update on when that will be open. Just two accidents so far, but the roadways are very slick.

Bath County/Owingsville: Interstate is still pretty bad. Westbound lane is worse than the eastbound. Just opened back up at 121 on I-64.

Boyle County/Danville: The main roads still appear to be rather clear, but some of the county roads are still a bit slick. So far not working any accidents.

Clark County/Winchester: Roadways are still a bit slick, but crews seem to have them under control. So far no reported accidents.

Estill County/Irvine: No reported accidents

Fleming County/Flemingsburg: The roads are still pretty icy, side roads are very slick. No reported accidents yet, but overnight there were serveral.

Franklin County/Frankfort: Roads were still slick and hazardous. No reported accidents.

Jessamine County/Nicholasville: Very slick. Take your time. Several cars sliding off of the roadways throughout the morning. No major accidents.

Madison County/Richmond: Roads are very slick. So far, no reported accidents.

Mercer County/Harrodsburg: The main roads seem clear. No reported accidents.

Montgomery County/Mt. Sterling: Very slick in spots, interstate is in pretty bad shape. Car in median on I-64 at 111, no injuries. Mostly slide offs, no major accidents.

Nicholas County/Carlisle: Roads are very slick, slide offs, nothing major.

Powell County/Stanton: Roads are still pretty slick, main roads in town are fairly clear, but anything other than that is very slick. No reported accidents.

Pulaski County/Somerset: Main roads are pretty clear, side roads are still kind of slick. No reported accidents.

Rockcastle County/Mt. Vernon: Main roadways are all salted and seem clear. So far, no reported accidents.

Rowan County/Moorehead: Main roads are fairly clear. Side roads are still pretty slick. No reported accidents.

Whitley County/Williamsburg: Back roads are still slick and hazardous. Main roads seem pretty clear. No reported accidents.

Woodford County/Versailles: Roads are pretty slick and hazardous. Main roads are still covered but they are out working on them right now. No reported accidents.

Scott County/Georgetown: Roads are very slick. Several accidents and slide-offs in the area.
