Snow continues tonight

Posted: Tue 10:51 PM, Mar 05, 2013

Snow will continue to wrap into central and eastern Kentucky overnight. Many areas have picked up a half to one inch of wet snow this evening and more will accumulate overnight.

Snowfall totals will be the highest across the north and a little lighter in the south and southeast. Far northern Kentucky will be in the 3"-6" range with an inch or two across the south and east. The lexington metro will range from 1"-4" by early Wednesday.

A lot of the accumulations will be on grassy and elevated surfaces, but temps in the 20s will mean slick spots on area roads.

Gusty winds will continue to approach 40mph tonight and that will blow some of the snow around.
