Snow for today, but not for all of us

We finally get the wintry mess out of here just in time to talk about winter weather all over again for parts of the Bluegrass state. About 70% will stay dry today with highs in the mid 30s. Head down into the southeast and that is a totally different story! A low pressure system works in from the south giving the southeast a good chance at a nice snow. The timing on this snow to begin should be during the mid to late morning hours and lasting through early afternoon before kicking out during the evening. We are looking at the possibility of seeing 1-6" of snow. The farther you go south and the higher in elevation you go, the more likely you are to see higher amounts of snow. Friday into Saturday will be dry with partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower to mid 40s.
