A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
Snow will fly through the nighttime hours across Kentucky. When it finally wraps up tonight some areas could pick up to an inch... but mainly on grassy or other cold surfaces.
The snow ends during the overnight hours and that's when the cold will become a little more widespread. Everyone likely dipping down into the 20s for lows.
While Monday will be on the dry side... it will be significantly colder. Many areas will see highs just above freezing on Monday evening. This run with the cold temperatures will stick around for a while.
The cold actually gets worse towards midweek. At the same time another big shot of cold air will dominate the region. We'll likely see highs in the low 20s with even potential for single digit lows.
