Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through this evening with even a couple locations to the north in a Winter Weather Warning. Snow showers are flying across the region and we expect more as we head through the day. For most expect 1"-3" of snow. For parts in the east and north expect 2"-5". This will cause travel issues all around the area. For north of I-64, expect snow to taper off before noon...Central zones from 1pm-3pm....Southern zones just after sunset.
Only slight chances on Wednesday and Thursday, but the main concern will then be the cold temperatures. Overnight lows from Wednesday through Friday will be in the single digits. Highs in the teens. This means with any wind we could see sub-zero wind chills through Friday morning.
We are looking at more snow chances heading off into the weekend.
