OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Officials in Owen County tell us they're experiencing another water main break, which occurred while trying to fix another water main break, which has cut off water to most of the county.

For now, there is a limited supply of water for the residents of Owen County at Owen Electric, the county courthouse, and the Owen County Fairgrounds.

The Owen County Judicial Center is closed Thursday and Friday. We're told normal hours will resume on the 13th.

Family Billiards Restaurant was closed Tuesday, because of the water outage. Kentucky American Water crews have been working to fix the water main all day, but a new problem popped up -- additional breaks that delayed the town's water service from coming back, an inconvenience residents have seen before.

"It's been really frustrating for me, because this is the third time since the 15th of December we've been without water," David Bowling, who has been without water for a day.

While repairs are going on and service is interrupted, those without water can pick up bottled water at the Owen County fairgrounds, or fill up a container at the Kentucky River Station.

Those that do have water are being urged to boil it before consumption. Owen County Schools were canceled Wednesday because of the water outage.

They say they do not know when all water service will be restored.
