Some accidents reported during slick morning rush hour

Although no major accidents have been reported after Wednesday morning's snow, there were some problems.

A car collided with a utility pole just after 7 a.m. on Ironworks Pike in Lexington. Ironworks was closed between Kenney Lane and Russell Cave. At least one person was injured in that crash.

It was also slow going along a portion of New Circle Road in Lexington. A car slid off the outer loop between Newtown Pike and Georgetown Road around 8 a.m.

Warmer temperatures prevented much of the snow from sticking to roads in central Kentucky. Roads were slick, however.

All of the hassles of winter haven't been too familiar this season, and winter's absence is receiving few complaints.

"I like seeing a little snow, but I'm a warm person actually," says Mary Snedegar.

"I've got to get my young son out in it, so I don't really like doing that. So, I'm not a huge fan of the snow!" says Jennifer Gray.
