State officials tell WKYT 12 people have died as a result of the devastating storms that rolled across the state Friday.

The Kentucky Department of Public Health says county coroners report four fatalities in Menifee County, four in Laurel County, three in Kenton County, and one in Morgan County. More than 200 injuries have been reported.

UK Hospital tells 27 NEWSFIRST it was put on "code yellow" Friday. That means the hospital was in preparation for receiving mass casualties. A hospital spokesperson says several trauma patients had arrived by Friday night and more were on the way.
