Trick or treat hours will find temps dropping through the 30s with gusty winds and some rain and snow filling the air. Wraparound band of snow moves in Friday night into Saturday morning across central and eastern Kentucky. That's the one that could drop some light accumulations on grassy areas and elevated surfaces.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The spring horseracing season in Kentucky begins next week with the opening of Keeneland in Lexington.
The 2013 spring race meeting begins April 5 and goes for 16 days. The signature race is the 89th running of the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass, a Grade-one stakes race that is a springboard to the Kentucky Derby.
The Toyota Blue Grass is scheduled for April 13.
Keeneland will conduct racing Wednesday through Sunday except for the final week. The last day of the meet is Friday, April 26.
Admission is $5, with children 12 and under free.
