Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
After picking up another round of accumulating snow during the overnight hours in Eastern Kentucky, we are heading back to SPRING! It all begins with the milder air for Sunday. Our highs will fall short of the normal highs for this part of March, but much milder than where we found ourselves Saturday night.
Some very mild air comes our way on Monday. Many areas will see highs climb into the upper 60s and low 70s. Expect that trend to continue for a few days.
The week ahead has all kinds of Spring like features. Not only the milder temperatures, but showers and thunderstorms will also come calling. That's when you really know that Spring has arrived. If you are seeing multiple days of showers and storms with mild temps each day. Those are good indicators that Spring is really here.
Enjoy your Sunday!
