Our run with the chilly conditions is about to come to an end. Many of you will find chilly temps greeting you early on Monday morning. Those won't last very long at all. Daytime highs likely climb well into the low and mid 70s by the afternoon and evening hours. This is the first part of our warm-up. It basically returns us to where we should be for this time of year. Normal high is around 75 degrees and thermometers will be around that.
The Springlike conditions only last one day though. It's a return to the 80s that we'll find on Tuesday. That's what we see in June. Of course, that's our taste of Summer for this week. The warmer temps will hold steady through at least Thursday. Then we'll only see a small drop in daytime highs.
A system that will likely bring showers and storms will sweep into Kentucky late Wednesday night. The best chance for showers and storms will be on Thursday, but I can't rule out something late Wednesday evening or Wednesday night. The chances are certainly there. This system will bring a mild air mass into Kentucky. Lucky for us, it only brings temps back to where they should be for this part of May.
The first three days of this week look to be the best for us. So get out and enjoy!
