Indiana man headed to Ky. to face road rage charges

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - State police have confirmed that the driver in an extreme case of road rage has been arrested.

Police say Perrin Dobyns, 51, was taken into custody in Indiana. Indiana State Police arrested him at the Branchville Correctional Facility in Branchville, Indiana. We're told he was working at the prison when police arrested him. We do not know what his position at the prison is. He was in the Perry County jail in southern Indiana, but is now headed back to Kentucky to face charges.

An I-witness video sent to our newsroom shows a man in a black sedan pulling a gun on what appears to be the man holding the camera.

The camera operator says he was near the 97 exit when he saw the man in the black sedan driving recklessly.

"I was concerned for everyone's safety. I could get his plate and report it to police and let them follow up on it. I didn't expect to get shot at in the process," said David Kollar.

The man then pulls out a gun and allegedly fired at Kollar. "You see all of this happen in front of you and it's like wow, that could have been it."

Dobyns is facing a wanton endangerment charge. Dobyns is from Corydon, Indiana.
