Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
It's pretty much more of the same across the bluegrass state over the next few days. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will blossom across the bluegrass state through the middle of the week.
These storms will really increase later Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front drops in from the northwest. This front will put the brakes on and only drop our temps a few degrees.
Moisture will then increase from the southwest by our Labor Day Weekend. That will cause showers and storms to crank up once again. The greatest threat appears to be Sunday into Monday.
Temps look to start to fall by early next week.
