Our winter storm continues to dump heavy snow across central and eastern Kentucky. Look for our storm to taper off from northwest to southeast through the afternoon. One foot snow totals for several. Two foot snow totals for a few.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to rumble for some areas through tonight. The storms aren't widespread, but can put down heavy rainfall in a few spots.
This is a pattern featuring a daily threat for showers and storms for the rest of the week. Any storm that goes up may be on the strong side with a lot of lightning and torrential rainfall.
Outside of the storms, temps will be steamy with highs well into the 80s. Overnight lows will drop into the muggy 60s.
This same setup may carry us into the coming weekend and through the early part of next week. Sounds like summer to me!
