Angela & Jason Singleton
RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - The battle over evidence in the case of deadly love triangle headed back to court later this month in Madison County.
The case involves Jason Singleton and his ex-girlfriend Christina Marcum who are accused of killing Singleton's wife. Angela Frazier-Singleton's dismembered body was found near the Kentucky River in January 2011.
In court Tuesday, a judge decided to delay a suppression hearing in the case until December 27.
Marcum's lawyer is asking for his client's statement to police be thrown out because her legal representation was not present during her statements.
Singleton's lawyer asked the judge for two separate trials arguing Marcum made incriminating statements about his client and he would not be able to receive a fair trial unless the cases were split.
The case is scheduled to go to trial on March 11.
